Shadow Theory

The transition is experienced as it unfolds.

Enacted scaffolding and the organization of succession

Experienced Temporal Passage

The retained note, live sound and anticipated continuation occupy different roles in one ongoing activity. The complete argument develops temporal experience without an additional moving present.

The historical condition in this edition requires a formative contribution from another experiencer. The block-universe companion examines the universal ancestry problem and uses an independently qualifying adult for its temporal application. These are distinct scopes, not a revised universal admission law.

  1. A temporal world without an outside observer

Separate physical intervals, ordered change and experienced passage, then locate the experience within the listener's actual activity.

  2. Experience is the qualifying enactment

Complete enactment, immediate interpretive uptake, optional later retrieval and the paper's explicit formative-history condition.

  3. The melody is experienced while it unfolds

Source order, reception, retained predecessor, live estimate and anticipation acquire distinct roles in one ongoing construction.

  4. What a temporal construction must distinguish

Order-information constraints and four propositions establish the construction's exact conditional sufficiency and invariance.

  5. A finite mechanism for an ordered transition

Retention, directed detectors, finite delays and calibration make the temporal construction physically consequential.

  6. A local present inside continuing activity

Presentness, nested experiences, retained records and anticipation have distinct roles without requiring a universal moving now.

  7. Why a longer interval can feel faster

A partial model separates duration judgments from felt pace using interpreted density and expected endpoints.

  8. Independent constraints on one temporal organization

Fusion, calibration, memory, prediction, pace and clocks constrain different parts of the construction.

  9. What an additional flow would have to explain

Physical couplings, experiential gates, primitive becoming and observational equivalence are different alternatives.

    Read chapter →
  10. Test the organization that carries the transition

Experiments must distinguish order, uptake, recall and pace while testing concrete alternatives to the proposed mechanism.

  11. Temporal experience belongs to the unfolding enactment

The complete result preserves physical intervals, causal order and change while requiring no added moving present within the constitution.

  12. Clock magnitudes, constrained algebra and internal time

The full physical appendix separates orbital proper-time differences, perceptual judgments and stationary quantum timer constructions.

  13. The evidence inventory and its actual reach

All 23 distinct supplied studies and seven targeted additions retain their specific evidential limits.

  14. What the computational checks establish

The complete reproducibility account separates checked model properties from human uptake and experiential claims.
